More4's 'Devon and Cornwall', one of the highest rating programmes on the channel earlier this year, is looking for people to take part in its second series.

The programme celebrates the lives and histories of people living and working in the rural landscapes of the two south west counties, bringing to life the families and individuals that make them what they are.

In Series One, filmed at this time last year, the stories featured harbour masters, farmers, fishermen, conservationists and places of historical beauty and heritage.

The team are now back filming the second series and are looking for new stories and characters to follow.

Many of our farmers featured and told their stories in the first series. Some of these include: Cyril Cole from Lower Ash Moor Farm in South Molton, who was followed during the hay making process, Jess and Russell Steer, who farm within the Dartmoor National Park at Ashburton, Bridgette and Steve Clamp, beef farmers at Higher Trenowin Farm in Nancledra, Steve Alford and his father Crispin from Elvan Farm in Okehampton, Mark and Isobelle from Green Cow Dairy at Plushayes Farm in Liskeard and Steve Dustow from Colwith farm Potatoes.

South West Farmer:

Bridgette and Steve Clamp

Bridgette Clamp said: "It was lovely sunny weather last summer when they were filming so the programme will look stunning. It was great to showcase everything that goes in to preparing the cattle for the show. It's great to bring some attention to the Red Ruby Devons."

Steve Dustow said: “We just got on with what we were doing. They followed us doing all sorts of bits and pieces. It was fun to have the crew around.

“Reality in the countryside is that we as farmers are fighting TB and it is a problem. It’s part of country life and it will be good for people to be educated about this."

The casting team are talking to people who might be interested in taking part in the filming which will take place throughout the summer and into October of this year. If you have something you would like to share about your life in Devon or Cornwall, a story to tell, or are just interested in taking part, email cmunro@truenorth.tv with "take part" in the subject, or call 0113 468 0722.
