DESTROYING a shop window and a quantity of furniture has resulted in a community order for a Redruth teenager.

Joshua Brown, of Redruth Foyer, admitted two offences which he committed on June 28.

He destroyed a shop window 5ft by 5ft to the value of £660 in Alma Place and also destroyed a chest of drawers, fan, microwave, wooden chair, wall and plug socket at a different address to the value of £220.

He has been placed on electronic monitoring for 12 weeks and was ordered to pay a total of £300 compensation.

 

A 32 year-old woman has pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Lindsey Ann Nicholas, of Carvinack Meadows, Shortlanesend, near Truro, committed the offence on June 30 in a black Peugeot.

She had 85mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £350.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge.

 

DRIVING whilst disqualified has resulted in a community order for a Helston man.

James Michael Dean, aged 22, of Fir Close, admitted committing the offence and also driving without due care and attention on the A394 at Trewennack on June 6.

Truro magistrates ordered him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 12 months.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

 

A 42-year-old man was two and a half times over the drink-drive limit, a court heard.

David Johnson, of Flora Gardens, Helston, admitted driving a Vauxhall Vectra on the A30 at Penzance on March 2.

He had 202mlgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mls.

He was given a community order which places him under electronic curfew for four weeks.

Johnson was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge and was banned from driving for 20 months.

 

A SITHNEY man failed to surrender to custody at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Peter Newman Edwards Jordan, aged 40, of Higher Merther Farm, was due to appear to answer a charge of drink-driving on June 27.

A warrant for his arrest without bail was issued.

 

A REDRUTH man failed to provide a specimen of breath during the course of an investigation under the Road Traffic Act.

Shane Hamill, aged 26, of Vorfield Close, admitted committing the offence on June 26 in Redruth.

Magistrates imposed a community order on him, placing him on electronic curfew for six weeks.

He was also banned from driving for 39 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

 

DRIVING without insurance has resulted in a fine for an Illogan man.

Leo Adams, aged 21, of Alexandra Close, admitted committing the offence at Tolvaddon on March 4 in a Peugeot.

He was fined £150 and his driving record was endorsed with six points.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

 

EXCEEDING a 30mph speed limit has cost a Truro man a £70 fine.

Clayton Roger Bell, aged 57, of Fore Street, admitted committing the offence at Tresillian on January 15 in a Citroen Berlingo.

He was also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and had his licence endorsed with three points.

 

A TRURO woman drove without insurance or an MoT certificate.

Florence Marie Louise Denny, aged 50, of Sparnock Grove, admitted committing the offences on February 20 on Treyew Road.

She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with six points.

Jordan Andrew Ellery, aged 20, of Dobbs Lane, admitted committing the offence in a 30mph limit, in Newquay on January 19.

He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

 

AN Illogan man has been banned from driving for six months.

Carl Roger Chapman failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of an alleged offence.

The 33 year-old, of Oxland Road, committed the offence on February 25.

He was also fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.

 

A FALMOUTH man who exceeded a 70mph speed limit has been fined.

Darryl Baker, aged 42, of Langton Road, committed the offence on January 17 on the A30 at Roche in a Toyota Hilux.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs. His licence was endorsed with three points.
