Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby will play to just 400 people in an intimate gig at Lusty Glaze Beach this summer.

The multi-platinum artist, who has just completed a sold-out UK and European headline tour, will perform at the private cove in Newquay on Tuesday, June 18.

Tracey Griffiths, owner of Lusty Glaze Beach, said, “We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary this year so we wanted to do something really special. With a location that’s as extraordinary as ours, we always try to host events that are a little different to the norm, which is why we’re extremely excited about having Matt Corby perform such an exclusive, intimate gig.

"It’s his first ever and only show in the south west. With just 400 tickets available, it’s going to be a magical evening.”

It is one of only two dates in the UK as part of his Rainbow Valley tour, which will also see him perform in Norway, France and Ireland.

His soulful, beachy sound has mesmerised audiences the world over, with Corby recording 51 million YouTube plays, 1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and nine platinum records.

He will play hits such as Brother in the one-off performance at Lusty Glaze, alongside stunning material from his new album Rainbow Valley.

Events manager Robin Parris added: “His music is exactly what Lusty Glaze is all about - laid-back, dreamy vibes. Just imagine a cold beer in hand, a fiery sunset lighting up the cove and the sounds of Matt Corby echoing around the bay.”

“Described as a “lush, multi-textured album sparked by hints of both old soul and futuristic psychedelia,” this gig is guaranteed to give you goose pimples. You’ll be entranced from start to finish.”

Lusty Glaze took The Times’ top spot for ‘Most picturesque live music venues in the UK’ and was also crowned Britain’s Best Beach by the Sunday Times.
