It may have felt more like winter when Devoran held its Spring Flower Show but there were plenty of colourful exhibits to cheer up a wet day.

Devoran Village Hall was packed with entries for the show - including in the flower and plant sections, despite the varied weather recently.

Cups and prizes were presented by Devoran School headteacher Victoria Lock, with a spokesperson for the show committee saying how grateful members were to her and the judges for giving up their time in support of the event.

The cookery, photography and children’s classes were also well supported, with the children of Devoran School and Devoran Pre-School providing lots of colourful and imaginative entries, including some paintings of flowers.
