A 26 year-old man pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

Nathan Davies, of East Hill, Camborne, committed the offence in Chapel Close, Tuckingmill, on March 2.

He was discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

POSSESSING a taser has resulted in a conditional discharge for a Camborne man.

Jordan Gilbert, aged 20, of Parc An Tansys, Pengegon, admitted possessing the weapon, which is capable of discharging electricity, on December 9.

Isabel Thomas, aged 27, of Gryllis Farm, Treskillard, admitted committing the offence in a Red Fiat 500 on Penhallick Road, Redruth.

She had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was has been disqualified from driving for three years and fined £120. She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Dale Andrew Laidlaw, of no fixed address, admitted committing the offence on January 27 in Penzance.

He pleaded guilty to two further offences - stealing goods worth £304.51 belonging to Asda in Hayle on January 12 and entering Warrens Bakery as a trespasser and stealing various items in Penzance on January 27.

For the assault he was sentenced to 60 days in prison and for the Asda theft, a further 70 days, meaning a total of 130 days.

Magistrates said the assault was so serious because it was a deliberate attack on a public servant carrying out public duties. Also because of the defendant's previous convictions.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £252 compensation.

A STITHIANS man exceeded a 30mph speed limit on the A394 near Helston.

Shaun Brett Charles, aged 52, of Collins Parc, admitted committing the offence in a Mercedes Vito at Trewennack on September 17.

He was fined £51 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.
