With a windy and wet weekend ahead, there’s still plenty you can be getting on with in the garden, albeit in between the squalls!
- Give the fruit and veg that you’ve stored a once over, checking for rot and pests
- If you’re missing the growing activity of spring, try a mushroom kit, they’re great fun and have tasty results
- It’s a good time to clean the greenhouse, using disinfectant will eliminate pest wishing to overwinter
- Cut old raspberry canes to the ground after fruiting as they bear fruit on new wood
- Tidy up strawberry plants for winter
- It’s not too late to plant daffodil, tulip, anemone, aconite, carnassia, crocus, fritillary and hyacinth bulbs and dream of spring
