A TRANSGENDER woman who died in her Falmouth University accommodation had a history of mental health problems, an inquest has heard this morning.
Jasmine Felicity Rook, who was born Jake Stanley Hanson, was found dead on October 3 last year, just days after her 22nd birthday.
It has been revealed that whilst intoxicated in September 2017, she approached the Penryn Campus reception and asked employees to kill her.
She was also picked up by campus patrol while walking around the site with the intention of killing herself in the same month.
Details of her meetings with mental health services in the months leading up to her death are currently being heard at the coroner's inquest at Truro Magistrates' Court.
The hearing continues this afternoon. More details and verdict to follow.
