The Pershore Plum Festival is looking for a person, place or thing called Plum to be the fruity Plummy McPlumface of British plums. In return, they'll receive a whole plumptious collection of plummy goodies, star on the website and receive VIP treatment on one of the festival days.

The Plum Festival takes place throughout August in the Worcestershire market town of Pershore. A packed calendar of activities attracts scores of thousands of visitors to the region especially for the Bank Holiday festival weekend - three days of food, entertainment and plum fun from August 25-27.

Commenting on the search, Angela Taylor said: "We're looking for a face for the plum festival - it could be a cat, a child or a cow. We're open to suggestions as long as they're called Plum."
