The three-day Royal Cornwall Show opened this morning in glorious sunshine.
Thousands of people poured through the gates from 8am, making it look as if the show will be another record, with more than 100,000 people expected to visit by Saturday.
Traffic queues were considerable and there was a long tailback to Fraddon on the west side of the showground.
There is a record entry of cattle at this year’s nationally recognised agricultural show, as well as around 1,000 trade stands and major attractions such as the flower show, countryside area and steam fair.
