St. Ewe Free Range Eggs Win Taste of the West Award Within the first six months/year of trading St. Ewe Free Range Eggs have secured a silver Taste of the West award.
The Taste of the West judging panel made up of expert chefs, food technologists, teachers, manufactures and writers commended St. Ewe Free Range Eggs on their looks, the lovely yellow yolk and taste.
Rebecca Morris who, with her husband Andy and parents Richard and Christine Tonks, runs the family business on the Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall is delighted with the achievement.
"The Taste of the West Awards is so a highly respected in the industry we're very proud to be the only egg producer to win an award."
The family diversified their established free-range egg business by building a packing station on the farm enabling them to supply their eggs direct to supermarkets and stores.
Having worked with a local designer to develop their brand and packaging they are now looking to expand their business in the South West.
Crediton Milling's Steve Marriot is also very happy with the outcome having worked closely with Richard Tonks to develop a feed for the hens that gives the eggs their outstanding yolk colour, flavour and quality.
St. Ewe Free Range Eggs are available from local Adsa and Countrywide stores.
