Smallholder and Garden Festival
Smallholder Pentathlon Competition
It's not all about athletics, this about the tasks that you do on a regular basis on your smallholding.
The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society is pleased to announce the above brand new competition for the 2008 Smallholder and Garden Festival.
This new Competition is being held to promote and develop Smallholder Countryside Skills.
The Competition will be held on Sunday 18th May, commencing at 9am and is open to any individual over the age of 16. Entrants will be required to demonstrate their abilities by completing five asks related to smallholding within given time periods and marked out of a maximum of 10 points each. The details of the tasks will not be disclosed beforehand but entrants will need to be prepared to undertake a variety of activities such as identifying things displayed to them driving a quad bike and completing practical countryside skills/activities under guidance.
It's a competition for practical people to show off their everyday skills. Why don't you have a go? You could win £100 for doing what comes naturally!
