New equine disease information pack launched

Dr Christianne Glossop, Chief Veterinary Officer for Wales, has launched a new equine disease information pack to an audience of representatives from the equine industry, at the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd. The presentation was held in the Mess tent of the King’s Troop of the Royal Horse Artillery on the showground.

Ponies (UK) is looking forward to a fantastic 2010 Summer Championships at Newark and Notts Showground August 11th to 14th. This is the 5th year the championships have been held on this ground and each year they get better. New ring layouts trialled last year will be repeated with additional improvements. We have now generated the ‘heart’ of the show, and it now beats loudly.

Irish Donkey Santuary Inundated with Donkey Rescues

The Irish counterpart of the Sidmouth-based Donkey Sanctuary has been inundated with donkey rescues, and has today revealed that more than 175 have been taken in so far this year. The latest is Beamish, found with terribly overgrown feet and barely able to walk.
