Epworth Show is proud of its Horticultural Tent

Now in its 66th year and taking place on August bank holiday Monday (27th), the show will once again play host to the increasingly popular horticultural tent, amongst other attractions such as Showjumping, Mountain and Moorland Ponies and Shire Horses, as well as dog shows, livestock classes and trade stands, to name but a few.
“The show exists to celebrate our country’s heritage so it’s really important to us that it still continues to do that, and the horticultural tent is the perfect place to demonstrate to our children and grandchildren exactly how food is grown, husbanded and nurtured before being inserted into packaging,” explains Dave Hayes, Chairman of the Epworth & District Agricultural Society.
Open to societies and associations such as Gardening Clubs and Women’s Institutes, as well as families and individuals, the tent will play to host to classes where prize money and trophies will be up for grabs.
Judging starts at 10am and comprises of the following sections for entrants: Dahlias, Gladioli, Chrysanthemums, Miscellaneous flowers, Vegetables, Other sections include: Cookery Children’s baking Wine Eggs Photography Adult handicrafts Children’s handicrafts.
