If you have a pooch that’s ‘pawsitively wuffable’ now’s your chance to win a top doggy prize.
The NFU has teamed up with Pets at Home to find the Farm Dog of the Year. It doesn't need to be a working star - a country companion could also be named our champion canine.
The competition is open to all shapes, sizes and breeds including Collies, German shepherds and even Labradoodles. However, only NFU and NFU Countryside members can put their dogs in the running.
NFU web editor Tom Sales said: “All you have to do is send in a picture and tell us in no more than 150 words why your dog deserves the title. Our panel of judges will be looking for dogs which regularly prove their worth to the farm business out in the field, tail-wagging companions which help you to truly appreciate the great British countryside or those cheeky mutts that love to ride in the 4x4.”
£500 of Pets at Home vouchers will go to the winner and there are prizes for second and third.
The closing date for entries is April 8 2011
