A course aimed at people new to gundog training or just starting to train a new working dog will be hosted by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) in Lancashire.
The hands-on course will be held at Warton, near Carnforth, on 11th April.
It will cover selecting a puppy, housing, feeding and basic training. All main working breeds will be included.
BASC’s Northern Regional Director Phil Pugh said: “Anyone who has just acquired or is contemplating obtaining a gundog will benefit from the day. It will provide an introduction and practical hands-on experience with guidance and help for the important first steps and techniques needed to produce a dog the owner can be proud of in the shooting field.
“This is a course run by two true shooting trainers who know all the wrinkles and have first hand knowledge of working dogs in the field.”
Booking is essential and places are limited. For more information and to book, contact Jean Pugh at BASC’s Northern Regional office on 01200 445046.
