FARMERS can find out how to save money and the environment with an updated version of a water management guide.
Waterwise on the Farm gives farmers and land managers comprehensive information on preventing agricultural water pollution. The free booklet includes diagrams to show how water can flow around farms and catchments, with examples of potential pollution pathways.
NFU water policy adviser Anna Hall said: "Using water more efficiently provides a win-win situation for farmers because it will save them money and benefit the environment. The booklet is full of practical advice and represents another tool in cutting back water usage at a time when its cost is increasing.
"The first edition flew off the shelves and this updated version will give the latest information on initiatives from rainwater harvesting to carrying out your own water audit."
