Police took the abandoned lamb to the local RSPCA
A new-born lamb found abandoned in a church had to be rescued by police officers.
The lamb, which still had its umbilical cord attached and was believed to be only two days old, was spotted by school children at the back of the church in Cheltenham. The animal was sunburnt adn dehydrated.
The lamb is now recovering with the local RSPCA
