Horsemen of the Knight will headline the three-day Cheshire show. In the mornings they will be delighting you with daring acrobatics from the back of a galloping horse, and in the afternoons you will be able to cheer for one of the gallant knights as they battle the villains for the hand of the princess. There will jousting displays in the main arena and children can go to the ever popular Knight School and learn some of the battle skills (swords provided) and they may even be knighted for their efforts.

Ian Griffith and his team of highly trained security dogs are another highlight. The handlers and dogs will demonstrate the various exercises and levels of expert training required to produce these security dog displays. Obedient, loyal and totally fearless K9 bodyguards with each step explained by chief trainer and dog handling instructor in a highly informative commentary.

Plus the usual top arena attractions such as our scurry driver, Mounted Games, and the horseboarders – when the competitors skateboard behind a galloping horse! Also on show are the usual demonstrations of gun dogs, ferrets and birds of prey.

The Tenth English Open Chainsaw Carving Competition will be held with some of the top chainsaw carvers battling it out to produce the best works of art. On Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be a thirty minute ‘Speed Carve’ and the sculptures will be auctioned off straight after.

The auctions for the sculptures from the main competition will be auctioned off on the Monday afternoon -so if you want to drive home with a six foot dragon strapped to your roof, this could be your chance!

The Cheshire Game & Country Fair runs from August 23 to 25 at Cheshire County Showground, Tabley, Cheshire WA16 0HJ. The show is open from 10 am to 6pm.
