Anti-badger cull campaigner and legendary Queen guitarist, Brian May, is bidding to purchase a £7 million estate.
His charity, Save Me is looking to buy the property in a private sale, even though it has now been removed from the market. The 665-acre Chargot estate is in Exmoor National Park, a prime area for badger culling.
The charity is still looking into the feasibility of buying the property but if a sale is agreed, it is possible the estate will become a nature reserve, protecting the badgers from the cull.
Save Me owns five properties including including two separate reserves near Tolpuddle and near Bere Regis in Dorset, and another near Manchester.
