This weekend, 13th & 14th March 2010, will once again welcome the ever-popular Westcountry Game Fair to the Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet. This countryside event, which is supported by the Countryman’s Weekly and the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), will be welcoming the Tractor Girls 2010 to the Show for them to help raise awareness of their event- 10 Girls, 10 Tractors- over 1000 miles, all in aid of four chosen charities.

The Tractor Girls will drive over 1,000 miles across the UK and Ireland to raise awareness and money for four chosen charities- Clic Sargent, Cancer Research UK, Motor Neurone Disease Association and Irish Motor Neurone Disease Research Foundation. The girls teamed with their fleet of tractors ranging from Massey Ferguson, John Deere and Fordsons will be a sight to behold as they travel across the country in this unique and inspirational event.

The girls say: ‘As a group we wanted to organise an event and series of fundraisers to raise awareness of the illnesses associated with the four benefiting charities and get as much money as we possibly can for them! It is this diverse appeal that attracts the Tractor Girls to the Westcountry Game Fair- it provides the perfect opportunity to meet and spread news of their charity challenge to many different types of people!
