A brand new show is set to become a major attraction in Kent this July - the Tractor & Smallholding Show. The event will bring together the worlds of vintage, veteran and classic tractors with the practical world of the smallholder to encompass the very best elements of country life.

Not only that, the show moves up a gear in the entertainment stakes with its very own ‘show within a show’ a Pageant of Transport that will appeal to enthusiasts and families alike and will feature a display of classic cars, motorcycles, classic trucks and commercials, classic 4x4 and ex-military vehicles.

The show will feature veteran, vintage and classic tractors and club displays, a working area, show arena with running commentary and show prizes, auto jumble, livestock displays, local and organic stalls (with a couple of farmers’ market traders already confirmed to attend), fibre spinning, weaving and felting, local crafts and related trade stands, Sunday Vintage ‘Sort Out Sale’, plus family activities around the Hop Farm and a food court and bar. Also hot footing it over from the Tinkers Park Rally in June will be a steam engine, train and organ.

If you are an experienced smallholder, or simply take an interest in rural life this show is for you. Experts on the subject will be on hand to show you just how to get started and answer your questions based on their own practical experience, along with a display which will demonstrate how to tackle some of these issues.

The event takes place on 16 to 17th July at the Hop Farm, which is Kent's iconic landmark and major event venue and is set within 500 acres of event land and the world's largest collection of Victorian oast houses. The site not only hosts field events, but is a popular wedding venue, children’s theme park with zoo, campsite and more, so there will be plenty to do and see over the weekend.
